In the capital of Nicaragua, amidst aromas of roasted corn and the crackling of firewood, unfolds the story of Kevin Gómez, a chef who has turned his indigenous roots, from Izalco in Sonsonate, El Salvador, also of ancestral origin, into a career that resonates with dedication and passion in Central America.

Kevin is not only a culinary reference in the country, but also a devoted father to his two young daughters, who values every moment with his family, especially those sacred Sundays that he dedicates entirely to them.

Kevin Gómez, born in El Salvador, took his first steps in a kitchen under the guidance of his mother, a passionate foodie with a thriving and seasoned business at home. Since then, he has been an avid student, eager to learn, practice, learn and perfect techniques. Therein lay his success. His professional training and the achievements he began to accumulate led him to work in a French bistro, and he also worked for the prestigious Astrid y Gastón restaurant in Peru, where his perception of cuisine was radically transformed.

With a suitcase full of learning, which still today is fed from day to day and took him back to Central America, he was part of major projects in tourist restaurants, deployed his talent in food trucks and gave life to projects that would be shaping the current gastronomic scene that lives in Nativo. Looking to the future, Kevin Gómez aspires to become a reference in Nicaraguan cuisine. For him, every day is an opportunity to create, inspire and honor his roots, bringing with him the richness of Salvadoran cuisine and the passion that drives him to innovate and share his love for gastronomy with the world.
